Job summary

Sten Tech, Inc is seeking a Senior CAM Programmer to join our Hillsboro, Oregon manufacturing team. This on-site role focuses on programming complex components for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC centers, developing machining strategies from CAD models and drawings, and mentoring junior staff.

You will create setup documentation, optimize toolings, and drive continuous improvement in CAM programming and machining processes while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to meet quality and

Qualifications

7+ years CNC machining and CAM programming experience.
Extensive experience programming 3, 4, and 5-axis machining centers.
Strong understanding of machining theory and metal cutting fundamentals.
Proven experience with CNC setup and machining operations.
Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
Experience machining aluminum, steels, stainless steels, exotic alloys, plastics, and composites.

Responsibilities

Develop complete CNC programs for complex machined components utilizing GibbsCAM.
Program and optimize 3, 4, and 5-axis machining centers.
Develop machining strategies from engineering drawings and CAD models.
Create setup documentation and manufacturing instructions.
Determine efficient machining sequences and operations.
Select and implement optimal cutting tools, tool holders, and work holding.
