Job summary

Confidential Client is seeking a Senior California Professional Land Surveyor to lead boundary research, preparation of ALTA surveys, and mapping deliverables across California. The role requires a PLS license, extensive boundary law knowledge, and mentoring of survey staff.

The position offers flexible hybrid and remote work options, opportunities to handle technical leadership, and engage with clients, agencies, and project teams on challenging boundary and mapping assignments.

Qualifications

• Active California PLS license required.
• Extensive experience performing boundary research, analysis, and resolution.
• Strong knowledge of California boundary law, subdivision mapping, and land surveying principles.
• Experience preparing ALTA surveys, Records of Survey, legal descriptions, plats, exhibits, parcel maps, and right-of-way mapping.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center.
• Experience processing and interpreting field survey data while integrating historical record information.
• Ability to provide QA/QC oversight for survey deliverables and mapping products.
• Strong communication skills with clients, agencies, title companies, and project teams.
• Mentoring survey staff and contributing to technical excellence across the department.
