Job summary
RTX is seeking a Calibration Technician to join our onsite team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. You will evaluate test equipment failures, calibrate instruments, and troubleshoot to component level, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-3.
The role requires a degree and at least five years of calibration service experience with Keysight or non-Keysight equipment, including RF/microwave skills to 50 GHz.
Qualifications
- Five years of customer support experience in calibration of test and measurement instruments.
- Experience calibrating both Keysight and non-Keysight equipment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ANSI/NCSL Z540-3, ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate test equipment failures and determine repair or re-alignment requirements.
- Troubleshoot to component level when possible.
- Perform calibration and adjustments on Keysight and non-Keysight products.
- Install software/firmware upgrades including possible re-imaging of instruments.
- Utilize calibration software like STE, TME, and PC-based tools.
- Maintain adherence to quality programs and strong documentation practices.
- Communicate with customers and peers to align expectations and outcomes.
- Review daily repair requests for service assignments.
