Job summary

Aveva Drug Delivery Systems Inc in Tamarac, FL seeks a Senior Engineering Leader to develop and execute the site’s engineering strategy, driving capital projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement.

You will lead cross-functional teams, ensure regulatory compliance (FDA/DEA), and mentor the engineering staff to achieve reliable, compliant operations.

This role reports to the site leadership and shapes the future of GMP manufacturing at the Tamarac facility.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering with 10 years of pharmaceutical GMP experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 7 years.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering leadership in pharmaceutical manufacturing, including at least 3 years at an executive level.
• Proven experience managing engineering for pharmaceutical manufacturing; aseptic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the engineering strategy for the Tamarac site aligned with objectives, operational excellence, and technology enhancements.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to support capacity expansion, equipment modernization, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as the senior engineering leader at the facility and guide major technical decisions.
• Oversee calibration activities in capital projects, including design, budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder alignment.
• Guide engineering design for GMP manufacturing areas including sterile, non-sterile, and controlled substance environments.
• Oversee selection, installation, and qualification of new equipment; support scale-up of new products and technologies.
• Champion digital transformation and automation to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with FDA, EMA, DEA, and internal quality standards; readiness for audits.
• Direct maintenance and reliability programs; implement preventive and predictive maintenance.
