Job summary

ServiceSource, Inc. seeks an Engineer Technician V to support project engineering management and record drawing maintenance. You will assist engineers through the project lifecycle and develop and maintain CAD records and drawings.

The role requires AutoCAD/REVIT proficiency, accuracy, and independent judgment, with responsibilities spanning from drafting to field surveys. This position is for a security-conscious environment supporting government projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or state certified equivalent or technical school apprenticeship, trade school graduate required.
• Technical AutoCAD and/or REVIT training from accredited technical school or college required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI government security clearance with polygraph is required.
• Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
• Knowledge of the English language including spelling, grammar, and writing conventions.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and best practices; strong communication skills.
• Independent judgment or initiative is expected.
• Basic understanding of construction drawings and CAD concepts.
• Proficiency in computers and ability to interpret written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Calculate dimensions, square footage, profile and material quantities from drawings.
• Draft detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts to maintain record drawings.
• Analyze site factors and design maps, graphs, tracings, and diagrams to illustrate findings.
• Review project blueprints and specifications to determine dimensions and material needs.
• Prepare reports documenting project activities and data.
• Update and maintain CAD drawings and records in accordance with project standards.
• Develop construction drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT per approved standards.
• Verify and correct red-line drawings to complete construction documentation.
• Conduct field surveys to locate sites and analyze project details.
