Job summary

SAGE Integration Holdings LLC is seeking an Experienced CAD Engineer for our Austin, TX office. The role designs, revises, and maintains detailed CAD drawings for complex security systems, electrical layouts, and building infrastructure, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s degree in Drafting or related Technology, with 5+ years in CAD roles and strong AutoCAD/Visio skills.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Drafting, Design, or related Technology field.
Minimum of 5 years in a CAD-related position.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Visio; familiarity with security system designs and electrical schematics.
Strong drafting standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed CAD drawings of complex integrated security systems.
Design and implement electrical infrastructure for security systems.
Translate hand sketches and field notes into electronic CAD files.
Redesign and revise existing drawings based on markups and updated specs.
Review and interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and designs.
Document and maintain records of all drawings and design changes.
Ensure all drawings comply with internal quality and drafting standards.
Work with project managers, engineers, and field staff to support installations.
Visit local job sites for validation of design accuracy.
Support compliance with engineering and drafting regulations and procedures.
Utilize AutoCAD and Visio to develop design layouts and schematics.
