NVIDIA's Advanced Technology Group is seeking a VLSI Library Engineer to address complex challenges in AI and graphics. The position involves developing library flows, collaborating across teams, and driving improvements in next-gen technology. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in VLSI with excellent programming skills.
Join NVIDIA’s Advanced Technology Group—a fast paced team that crafts the next generation of process technologies for AI, HPC, automotive, and graphics. You’ll take on hard problems, partner with world-class design teams, and help deliver the foundational IP that powers tomorrow’s breakthroughs. Learn new tools, languages, and flows while mentoring peers and influencing Library/CAD team strategy across the company.
What you'll be doing:
Collaborate across internal library, design-enablement, ASIC and physical design teams to develop and support VLSI Library flows to deliver quality library views
Architect, build, and maintain end-to-end VLSI library development flows for advanced nodes
Automate data generation, validation, and regression testing with Python, Perl, Tcl (plus databases and web-based dashboards)
Evaluate and triage CAD-tool enhancements: partner with EDA vendors to prototype new features, report bugs, and optimize runtimes
Drive infrastructure improvements for next-gen process technologies: tool integrations, build systems, integrate compute resources
Identifying bottlenecks, advocating for quality results, and implementing flow improvements
What we need to see:
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of proven experience, with focus in at least one of the areas below:
Understanding of VLSI design and place and route flows, CMOS processes, and CAD concepts and environments, OR
Proficiency with behavioral modeling and verification using Verilog and System Verilog
Experience with Python, Tcl, Perl, and C++ (and experience with databases and web frameworks is a way to stand out!)
Excellent programming skills with proven track record of delivering automation solutions
Strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
A passion for improving development flowsand VLSI library quality is a must!

The base salary range is 168,000 USD - 310,500 USD.
