Base pay range

$50,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

Entellus has an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Land Development CAD Designer in our Phoenix, AZ office. We have several exciting projects underway and are looking for an individual with strong technical ability, good communication skills, and enthusiasm to join our successful and growing team. This position involves creating and conceptualizing drawings for various land development projects.

Provide civil engineering design for residential subdivisions, master planned communities, mixed-use, education, healthcare, and commercial/retail projects. Mentor junior design staff and ensure quality control on design and all project deliverables. Complete plan production tasks as needed.

Typical Duties

1. Supervise lower-level designers or drafters, assign work, mentor, and review their work for quality and accuracy.
2. Design residential subdivisions and other projects involving paving, grading, drainage, water, and sewer, either drafting or overseeing drafting.
3. Prepare engineering calculations supporting infrastructure design.
4. Review and apply design standards established by relevant agencies.
5. Coordinate with project team and other consultants.
6. Manage scope, schedule, and budget for each project.
7. Prepare hour estimates for project pursuits.

Limits of Authority

The Senior CAD Designer performs professional design duties, with designs checked for quality and accuracy by the Senior Designer before submission to the Project Engineer or Manager.

Relationship to Others

Reports directly to the project engineer or manager. Supervises assigned drafters/designers. May participate in client meetings at times.

Knowledge and Experience Required

8-10 years of experience in land development design and plan production, proficiency in Civil 3D, ability to work independently and in teams, multitask, prioritize, and attention to detail.
