Job summary

Airbus' Engineering Center in Mobile, Alabama is seeking a Senior Engineer – Cabin Stress to support aircraft cabin interior structures as a stress analyst, using hand calculations and FE methods to ensure strength and weight targets meet regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with design engineers and suppliers, review substantiation reports, and prepare technical documentation for development and certification, with onsite/remote mix as described.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with emphasis on structural design and installation.
• 7+ years in design and analysis of cabin/cargo structures.
• Experience with regulatory requirements for aircraft design and certification.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Strong problem solving in dynamic environments.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed stress analysis of cabin or cargo components using hand calculations and FE methods.
• Review supplier stress substantiation reports for compliance.
• Coordinate with design engineers and suppliers to meet project deliverables.
• Prepare technical documents and presentations with limited direction.
• Travel as needed.
