Job summary

Advanced Technology Systems Company is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a diverse team of systems, mechanical, electrical, software, and test engineers. You will bridge engineering and upper management, driving technical strategy and project delivery with a strong emphasis on C5ISR programs.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in engineering, 8+ years in leadership, and broad experience with government contracts and MIL-STD/ISO/ASME standards. Some travel (~10%) is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years proven experience in engineering roles with a strong technical background.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in a leadership or managerial role.
• C5ISR experience.
• Strong knowledge of Government funded contracts.
• Knowledge of Regulatory and Government Standards (MIL-STD-810, ISO, ASME, etc.).
• Knowledge of product development from inception through production.
• Knowledge of sensors (EO/IR cameras, Radars, etc.).
• Ability to multitask, and track progress on multiple projects and programs.
• Ability to travel ~10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers across multiple disciplines.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects within budget.
• Provide technical direction and review designs and solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to align requirements and priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies.
• Manage resources, staffing, workload, and performance.
