Thunder Compute is hiring for a high-impact C++ systems role in San Francisco. You will own core GPU virtualization and low-latency paths, shipping production-grade code that coordinates GPUs across a data-center cluster.

You will work on a tight-knit team, focusing on performance, reliability, and observability, with opportunities to influence architecture and system design in a fast-growing startup.

Qualifications

• Exceptional modern C++ ability with memory management and concurrency
• Deep understanding of OS concepts, networks, or architecture
• Experience building production-grade C++ systems
• Strong Linux systems programming and debugging skills
• Ability to reason across multiple stack layers

Responsibilities

• Profile and reduce latency of remote CUDA operations
• Build high-performance networking and data-transfer paths
• Debug production failures across clients, runtime, network, and remote GPUs
• Improve support for forking, signals, multithreading, dynamic linking
• Design systems for GPU allocation, scheduling, and observability
• Research and productionize new GPU virtualization techniques
• Expand CUDA applications and GPU architecture compatibility
