Aptonet is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead core software infrastructure for AR HUD systems. You will own low-level C++ development, real-time rendering integration, and vehicle data ingestion spanning hardware and software interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering or equivalent impact
• 7+ years of experience in C++ development for performance-critical systems
• 7+ years of experience with system-level programming (multi-threading, memory, IPC)
• 7+ years of end-to-end ownership of a complex software subsystem
• 7+ years integrating software with hardware, sensors, or embedded platforms
• 7+ years of experience in latency-sensitive or real-time applications

Responsibilities

• Design and develop low-level C++ software for AR HUD pipelines and platform infrastructure
• Integrate platform software with real-time AR rendering stacks (Qt/OpenGL/Vulkan)
• Interface with vehicle data pipelines to ingest signals and localization data
• Translate vehicle signals into real-time AR visualization inputs
• Collaborate with labs to stabilize demo and test systems
• Define validation strategies for latency and sensor-to-render synchronization
• Maintain stability under real-world conditions and optimize bottlenecks
• Work with optics, camera, and ADAS teams to drive technical decisions
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development and testing
• Utilize Unity/Unreal or custom engines to inform shader development and rendering
