Job summary

Espy in Austin is seeking a Software Engineer to join a lean, agile team building state-of-the-art systems that deliver critical signals intelligence to government agencies.

You will design, enhance, and maintain a high-performance Linux C++ architecture for a product that captures high-bandwidth RF data and streams it to long-term storage, with DSP and ML integration. Collaborate across hardware, software, and field teams to ensure success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, CS, EE).
• 10+ years designing and implementing software in C++ on Linux.
• Proficiency with TCP/UDP networking and scripting in Bash and Python.
• Knowledge of DSP concepts, filtering, transforms, and data visualization.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and task management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test high-performance C++ software on Linux across general-purpose and embedded platforms.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with physical components.
• Develop automation scripts and tools using Python/Bash.
• Prioritize features and critical bug fixes with engineering teams and customers.
• Provide hands-on testing and deployment support for a global customer base.
• Demonstrate technical ownership and leadership to overcome obstacles.
