Job summary

SciTec, a DoD-focused engineering firm in Boulder, CO, seeks a Senior C++ Software Developer to design, implement, and optimize high-performance software processing OPIR sensor data on Linux. You will work as a strong individual contributor within an Agile team and contribute to image analysis, tracking, and mission-critical software.

Security clearance eligibility is required. The role emphasizes hands-on algorithm development, performance optimization, and collaboration with algorithm

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or a related technical field.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physical Sciences is preferred.
• Proven experience with C++ in production, performance optimization, and data-intensive systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain C++ software components for remote sensor data processing.
• Develop and optimize high-throughput algorithms for image analysis, detection, and tracking.
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of existing software systems.
• Apply strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance trade-offs.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented C++ code using modern language features.
• Participate in code reviews and design decisions.
• Collaborate with algorithm developers, systems engineers, and integration teams.
• Work in Agile software development processes.
• Support integration, testing, and debugging in Linux environments.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to team members and stakeholders.
