Job summary

AspenTech is seeking a talented and experienced Developer to join our Enterprise Operations Platform (EOP) team. You will contribute as a senior technical member within an Agile group delivering next‑generation industrial software solutions across on‑prem and cloud environments.

You will guide design, implement scalable data services, APIs, and cloud-native components, collaborating with architects, product stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams to enable automation for a diverse customer base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8–12 years of related experience OR an advanced degree with less experience.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, services, architecture, and container orchestration.
• Proficient in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD: Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions.
• Databases: MongoDB, Postgres, MSSQL.
• Programming Languages: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Python, Lua.
• Frontend JS Technologies: Angular, React.
• Cloud & DevOps: Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, Terraform.
• Operating Systems: Windows, Linux.
• Observability: OpenTelemetry.
• Automated testing: Playwright.
• Identity and access management: OAuth 2.0, RBAC.
• Architecture: Microservices, REST API Design.
• Data platforms: Inmation, Aveva PI Connect, Microsoft Fabric.
• IaC: Terraform, Ansible.
• Artifact & security: Artifactory, Blackduck, Snyk.
• GitOps: Flux, ArgoCD.
• IoT/edge knowledge
• SAFe or Scrum experience.
• Independent working style with strong project management.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and provide design guidance within a scaled Agile organization.
• Collaborate with Architecture teams to translate designs into scalable implementations.
• Design high-quality, reliable, and secure systems to meet business objectives.
• Drive scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
• Provide architectural direction and mentoring to strengthen engineering maturity.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for on‑prem and cloud infra.
• Debug performance and integration issues.
• Promote security best practices and compliance.
• Stay current with cloud-native and SaaS trends.
• Communicate effectively across Agile ceremonies.
