Job summary

Simplify3D is seeking an experienced C++ developer to join the team and innovate in additive manufacturing. You will work on 2D/3D computational geometry, motion planning, and physics-based simulation to enhance software for 3D printing across hundreds of printer brands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or 3+ years of relevant commercial experience.
• Strong mathematics skills in linear algebra, trigonometry, and numerical methods.
• Experience implementing and optimizing complex algorithms and data structures.
• Perseverance and determination to work through challenging problems that have never been solved before.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with others.

Responsibilities

• Solve challenging problems involving 2D and 3D computational geometry, motion planning, machine kinematics, optimization algorithms, and numerical simulation.
• Employ performance optimization techniques to allow processing of highly complex 3D designs at real-time speeds.
• Collaborate with our engineering team to integrate next generation 3D printers into the software, exploiting new machine capabilities for improved results.
• Provide insight to our product and leadership teams to help develop the roadmap for future software releases.
