Job summary

MACHINE LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES LLC is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer for a Dallas, TX engagement. The role is 13 months with possible extension and compensation is hourly, DOE. Candidates must have work authorization in the US (Citizenship/Green Card/OPT-EAD etc.).

The position supports W-2, 1099, or C2C arrangements. Key requirements include strong C++ (C++11/14/17), Embedded C, Embedded Linux experience with Yocto or Buildroot, and familiarity with set-top boxes, IPTV/OTT platforms,

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C++ with embedded targets.
• Experience with Embedded Linux (Yocto/Buildroot).
• Experience with set-top boxes, IPTV/OTT platforms, or similar embedded devices.
• Solid understanding of Linux internals, kernels, drivers, and filesystems.
• Experience with multithreading, sockets, and network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP).
• Strong debugging and performance analysis skills.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Solid understanding of Linux internals, kernel concepts, device drivers, and file systems
• Experience with multithreading, synchronization, sockets, and network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP)
• Strong debugging and performance analysis skills
