Job summary
Wolverine Trading, LLC is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to own core trading platform systems. This on-site role in Chicago involves close collaboration with traders and engineers to deliver high-performance, reliable software that directly affects trading floor outcomes.
You'll design and implement C++ applications, work with quantitative researchers, and lead optimization efforts across critical components.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience developing C++ code, with modern C++ (C++17 or later).
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, memory management, and OO and generic design.
- Hands-on experience with multi-threaded programming, concurrency, and performance tuning in real-time or latency-sensitive systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain C++ applications central to trading platforms, owning features from design through production.
- Partner with traders and researchers to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
- Lead performance analysis, profiling, and optimization to improve throughput, latency, and stability.
- Drive improvements to development practices including code review, testing, and releases.
