Job summary

Wolverine Trading in Chicago, IL is seeking an Entry Level C++ Software Engineer to begin their career in high-performance trading technology. You’ll work on-site with traders and engineers, contributing to design, development, and testing of C++ applications that power our trading platforms.

Graduating Spring 2027 and available to start summer 2027, you’ll learn at the intersection of software, hardware, and finance, receive mentorship, and grow through hands-on exposure to the trading floor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/CE, graduating Spring 2027 (April–June).
• Available to begin full-time employment in summer 2027.
• Strong knowledge of C++ and object-oriented design; familiarity with modern C++ (C++17 or later) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and testing of C++ applications that drive our trading platforms.
• Collaborate with traders and senior engineers to translate requirements into efficient technical solutions.
• Assist in monitoring, profiling, and troubleshooting applications to improve reliability and stability.
• Gain exposure to the full lifecycle of trading system development, from idea to production support.
