Overview

This is a Senior C++ Engineer position with The Cypress Group, a leading global financial firm. The role is a hands-on engineering position on a mission-critical trading platform focused on equities and futures. Hybrid work arrangement: Midtown NYC, 3 days on-site. Compensation: base $200K–$265K with bonus, total compensation up to $320K–$350K. Visa Sponsorship: H1B considered for exceptional candidates.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop scalable, fault-tolerant trading infrastructure in modern C++ (C++17/20).
• Own projects end-to-end—from system architecture to hands-on coding and production support.
• Work on trade flow systems prioritizing accuracy and uptime; experience in execution platforms is a plus, not HFT emphasis.
• Build and maintain robust messaging frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Solace, Tervela or similar).
• Apply expertise in low-level networking and multithreading to drive system performance.
• Lead and mentor a small team of engineers, shaping technical direction and upskilling talent.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quant and trading groups.
• Contribute to product expansion efforts in new global markets.
