Job summary

GE Vernova in the United States is seeking a skilled Training Program Developer focused on nuclear technical training. You will design and deliver certification and operator training for BWR/ABWR/BWRX-300 technologies, adhering to SAT and NRC/INPO frameworks.

You will coordinate curriculum quality, evaluate training effectiveness, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support fleet services and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Contribute to design and development of Initial Certification/License Training Programs for BWR/ABWR/BWRX-300 using SAT.
  • Contribute to quality oversight of the Operations Training KSA analysis and Curriculum/Evaluation strategies.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provides expertise in analyzing learning needs, designing training solutions for a business or function. Focused on technical training essential for a particular business or function, and does not include Leadership Learning, which falls within HR. Includes trainers and coordinators whose main task is to deliver the training content or make logistical arrangements for training programs.
  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within their discipline. May require strong commercial awareness and is expected to influence the development of strategy within own area, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
  • Impacts the team’s ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. Work is subject to functional policy objectives. Regularly advises management in the function and/or in the business. Has a supportive role in decision making about important subjects. High levels of evaluative judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

Required Qualifications

  • Contribute to the design and development of the Initial Certification/License Training Programs for the BWR/ABWR/BWRX-300 technology, using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) and following industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the quality oversite and maintenance of the Operations Training KSA Analysis/Catalogue(s), Job & Task Analysis, Task to Training Matrices, Curriculum and Evaluation Strategies, Training Program Delivery Schedules, Training Material and Evaluation Instruments.
  • Contribute to the design and development of the Continuing Training Programs for both licensed and non-licensed operators.
  • Contribute to the instructional quality oversite of the curriculum/materials for both licensed and non-licensed training programs for BWR, ABWR, BWRX300 and other similar technologies.
  • Represent GEH training in internal, customer and regulatory venues.
  • Work with other operations training instructors and personnel to support the management and delivery of the training programs and provide strong leadership for assigned programs.
  • Lead/support training program reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of training and establish priorities and drive plans for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the develop/support corrective actions to address identified areas for improvement.
  • Work with other training and business units to support the Fleet Services enterprises.
  • Perform special assignments and other related activities as assigned by the Training Manager/Leader.

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of Nuclear Power Plant technologies; including BWR and PWR.
  • Training Program development and implementation experience under both INPO and NRC Regulatory Frameworks.
  • Experience with Initial and Requalification Certification Examination development, conduct, and grading.
  • Experience delivering all phases of Operator Training; GFES, Station Systems, and Simulator.
  • Experience with Computer Based Training (CBT) implementation including multi-media training content using current industry approaches.
  • Experience using an LMS, training database or Vision software.

The base pay range for this position is$123,700.00 -206,100.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety offactors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligiblefor a15% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
