Job summary

Ellaway Blues Consulting is seeking a Buyer to lead sourcing across materials, equipment, services for high-tech, energy, and infrastructure markets in a growing production operation.

You'll collaborate with internal teams, manage supplier performance, and drive cost-saving initiatives using SAP and Power BI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency with SAP and familiarity with Power BI or similar tools.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract execution skills.
• Experience supporting construction or capital project purchasing is a plus.
• Strong communication, analytical, and project coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing efforts including supplier identification, contract negotiations, and market research.
• Manage supplier relationships to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Monitor industry trends, pricing changes, and external procurement risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing strategies with goals.
• Support capital projects with strategic sourcing and contracting.
• Use SAP and Power BI to improve procurement visibility and data-driven decisions.
• Identify and implement cost savings and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with policies, legal standards, and ethical procurement.
• Integrate sustainability and risk management into supplier strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement across sourcing and supply chain operations.
