Job summary

MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions in Seattle seeks a Buyer/Senior Buyer to procure commodities, materials, equipment and services for projects, balancing price, quality, and delivery while aligning with MMFS needs.

You will build strong relationships with internal partners and suppliers, take ownership of procurement opportunities, and contribute to continuous improvement and cost savings.

This role offers growth, autonomy, and exposure to a variety of projects at MMFS.

Qualifications

• 3 to 8+ years of purchasing/procurement or supply chain experience.
• Strong knowledge of the MEP industry and equipment.
• Proven ability to negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven decisions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Degree in related field preferred.
• Experience with Great Plains or Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Procure commodities, materials, equipment, and services for projects.
• Build relationships with internal teams and suppliers to understand needs and deliver right materials.
• Negotiate pricing and terms, monitor performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement in purchasing processes and supplier management.
