Job summary

SPX Technologies in Franklin, TN, is seeking a Buyer to manage purchasing activities with an annual Americas spend of about $55 million. You will order from qualified suppliers, monitor inventory, and rely on SAP with PFEP planning to determine replenishment needs, applying Lean principles to keep material flowing.

You will collaborate with Quality on RMAs, support lean projects, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing organizations.
Experience with PCB design/procurement.
Experience with SAP ERP system.

Responsibilities

Analyze usage, supplier lead times and material availability to ensure zero downtime on production floor.
Share usage and stock levels with key supply chain partners on a weekly basis in order to promote a Just-in-Time inventory management approach.
Support inventory turns target by ordering according to Lean principles of small, frequent delivery batches from suppliers.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels in the organization.
Support special supply chain projects and initiatives.
Analyze and manage supply chain data by leveraging SAP and the PFEP.
Support and proactively manage material obsolescence processes.
Communicate both verbally and written correspondence with a high level of professionalism.
Communicate all potential supply chain and supplier issues to leadership with a sense of urgency and propose solutions.
Maintain safe and organized work area and support all safety policies.
