Job summary

Qualifications

• AS/AA Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline required; B.S. in Business preferred.
• 2 to 5 years' relevant experience.
• Understanding of commercial and FAR/DFAR procurement rules, regulations and laws.
• Intermediate proficiency with computerized MRP/ERP systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong negotiation skills for materials and services.
• Experience reading and comprehending drawing specification sheets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Review requisitions and coordinate purchasing with manufacturing, planning and engineering.
• Process purchase requisitions, change orders, and RFQs to suppliers.
• Negotiate terms and pricing for materials and services; complete RFQ/RFP packages.
• Monitor cost, schedule, and scope of subcontracts; resolve accounting discrepancies with finance.
• Develop new supply sources; manage supplier relationships to reduce costs and ensure on-time delivery.
• Read and interpret technical drawings; apply manufacturing knowledge to procurement.
