Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Buyer II based in Pueblo, Colorado to manage timely purchasing and cost-efficient material delivery to meet production needs and customer requirements. You will maintain ERP/MRP data, negotiate with suppliers for best value, monitor stock levels, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support on-time delivery, quality, and continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred.
• 5 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing or similar environment preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP or JDE) preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate, and issue purchase orders to suppliers via requisition; seek best value, delivery, and quality.
• Place purchase orders with accurate data and optimize delivery and pricing per policies.
• Maintain planning data attributes for plant items in the ERP for MRP run.
• Maintain inventory levels to meet business needs and monitor stock for efficiency.
• Attend production update meetings and coordinate with schedules and procurement.
