Job summary

JT4, LLC is seeking a Buyer II to manage procurement of COTS materials, supplies, and services for federal contracts. You will handle requisitions, bid solicitations, supplier selection, and vendor negotiations to ensure timely delivery and best pricing.

Role involves market research, vendor visits, and cross-functional collaboration. The position requires a bachelor's in business or equivalent experience, DoD familiarity, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred, or 3+ years' experience.
• Knowledge of business, industrial, and trade practices related to purchasing.
• Strong negotiation and supplier interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform cradle to grave procurement from requisition to closeout.
• Solicit bids, analyze quotations, select or recommend suppliers.
• Monitor market trends and new supply sources.
• Expedite delivery and visit vendors' offices/plants.
• Direct the work of clerks performing routine tasks.
• Interview prospective vendors as needed.
• Cultivate relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Propose cost-saving measures via negotiations and volume discounts.
• Maintain electronic filing of purchase orders.
