Job summary

Twenty-Six Defense is seeking a Buyer II to manage a high-volume procurement portfolio, evaluate suppliers, and negotiate terms. The role supports US Government and commercial customers, overseeing subcontract activity and ensuring timely purchasing actions.

The candidate will prepare RFPS, track orders, and collaborate with programs and operations to optimize the acquisition process and cost efficiency. A relevant degree and experience in procurement are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation System (FARS) and procurement of commercial items.
• Ability to conduct and document market research for suppliers.
• Experience evaluating suppliers and negotiating with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Manage Subcontracts and provide direction for the Purchasing Department.
• Assist Buyers in prioritizing materials and services for US Government and Commercial customers.
• Create RFPS in support of programs in response to customer requirements.
