Job summary

Pro Staff is seeking a Senior Buyer for Electro-Mechanical Products in Danvers, MA. This direct-hire, exempt role focuses on sourcing precision electro-mechanical components and managing procurement strategies to support production, cost targets, supplier performance, and quality standards.

The successful candidate will work with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure material availability, optimize landed costs, and mitigate supply-chain risks while maintaining AS9100/ISO

Qualifications

• Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience sourcing electro-mechanical components or similar technical commodities.
• Strong knowledge of MRP systems and materials planning.
• Proven supplier-performance management and issue resolution.
• Experience negotiating costs, lead times, and terms.

Responsibilities

• Create POs with accurate pricing, quantities, and delivery dates.
• Monitor supplier performance: on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness.
• Lead supplier corrective actions for delivery or quality issues.
• Develop strategies to optimize value, quality, and landed cost.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers.
• Analyze MRP data to ensure material availability.
• Maintain inventory levels to support production and cost control.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Planning.
• Expedite requisitions and deliveries when needed.
• Qualify alternate suppliers to mitigate shortages.
• Escalate supply risks and PO discrepancies.
• Support continuous improvement in supplier performance and costs.
• Ensure purchasing docs meet AS9100/ISO 9001.
