Job summary

Epic is seeking a procurement professional to support our culinary department on campus in Madison, with relocation assistance provided. You will source large appliances, merchandisers, and small wares, while collaborating with chefs, catering, facilities, and accounting teams.

Responsibilities include building vendor relationships, prioritizing local suppliers, and balancing quality, sustainability, and cost. Relocation is reimbursed, and annual raises/bonuses are offered.

Job description

Please note that this position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.

Play a key role in the procurement for our culinary department including large industrial appliances and merchandising equipment, as well as small wares like spatulas, whisks, and plates and large quantities of food and consumables. The Epic culinary department serves around 12,000 meals per day to our customers, staff, and visitors. We regularly update and expand our culinary facilities to support our daily menus featuring a variety of regional, international, and seasonal offerings, producing continuous sourcing needs.

In addition to collaborating with our chefs and other stakeholders (including catering, events, facilities, and accounting teams), you will establish, develop, and maintain relationships with a variety of vendors. We prioritize sourcing locally whenever possible and work with purveyors from local farmers to national wholesalers to strike the right balance between quality, sustainability, and cost.
