Job summary

Venteon is seeking a Senior Buyer – Aluminum Castings near Maumee, OH. The role focuses on direct material purchasing, strategic sourcing, and global supplier management within the automotive industry.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of automotive procurement experience, with a background in RFQ/RFI, supplier negotiations, and cost reduction initiatives. Familiarity with SAP or Oracle is preferred and travel is around 10%.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Experience sourcing aluminum castings or related engineered components.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing for aluminum castings and direct materials.
• Manage a large annual commodity spend and drive cost reductions.
• Lead RFQ/RFQ processes, supplier evaluations, and negotiations.
• Coordinate supplier readiness, PPAP requirements, and new product launches.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement across supply chain.
