• 7+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High attention to detail and quality in all aspects of work.
• Previous experience with ERP systems.
• Ability to react quickly to schedule changes and re-prioritize parts at vendors.
• Investigate ways to reduce overall costs by identifying new suppliers and optimizing lot sizing.
• Strong time management and ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage all purchasing requirements and exception messages driven by ERP.
• Lead Make vs. Buy analyses with manufacturing & engineering.
• Negotiate and administer Long Term Agreements with central commodity team.
• Drive PPV, cost avoidance and cost savings initiatives.
• Request quotes from suppliers based on cost and lead time.
