• Experience with various subcontract types (Cost-Plus, Fixed Price, T&M) and compliance with FAR/DFARS.
• Advanced knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite; active Secret US Government Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Establish sources of supply, negotiate price and delivery terms per requisitions and policies.
• Provide procurement status and assist with special requirements to requesters.
• Administer and maintain purchase orders and file reviews for CPSR compliance.
• Review requisitions, evaluate proposals and quotations, determine eligibility for award, and conduct negotiations.
• Make best-value decisions based on price, schedule and terms; maintain procurement records.

Amentum is seeking a Senior Buyer in Springfield, VA.

We're pipelining candidates for a future role.

You are well-organized, detail-oriented, and appreciate a range of procurement tasks. You’ll be responsible for all phases of purchase order administration, cradle to grave, including acquisition planning, source selection, cost/price analysis, negotiation, post-award administration and closeout. You are also responsible for ensuring compliance with government policies and procedures. You'll do all this using your excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

• Establishes source of supply, negotiates price, delivery date, and other necessary commitments based upon authorized requisition and complies with company policies and federal regulations.
• Provides information to requester that includes communication of procurement actions or status and assistance with special requirements.
• Adheres to Supply Chain Procurement procedures to ensure follow-up and administration of purchase order files.
• Reviews and processes purchase requisitions.
• Contacts suppliers, secures bids and executes purchase orders in accordance with Amentum procedures.
• Evaluates proposals and quotations, determine offer responsiveness, responsibility, and eligibility for award, and perform discussions and negotiations.
• Makes procurement decisions based on best value, price, schedule, and terms.
• Maintains procurement records in accordance with Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) guidelines/controls.
• Ensures compliance with FAR/DFARS, Agency-specific regulations and Amentum policies and procedures for subcontracts and procurement.
• Conducts purchase order file reviews in support of Government audits.
• Performs Purchase Order Closeouts.
• Ensure compliance with all site environmental health and safety requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s degree, and at least 3 years of procurement/buyer experience
  • Or a Bachelor’s degree, and at least 5 years of procurement/buyer experience
  • Or an Associates degree, and at least 7 years of procurement/buyer experience
  • Or a High school diploma/GED, and at least 9 years of procurement/buyer experience
• Experience with various subcontract types (Cost-Plus, Fixed Price, Time & Materials, and subsets thereof)
• Advanced knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.

Compensation Details:

$90,000 - $96,000
