Job summary

Owen Daniels is recruiting a Senior Buyer for a fixed-term contract in a manufacturing environment. You will own supplier onboarding, negotiate pricing, manage master planning inputs and optimize inventory control to support production schedules.

The role emphasizes strategic sourcing, supplier development and driving commercial value with strong ERP experience in Dynamics 365, SAP, Epicor or Syspro. Flexibility with hybrid working is possible.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, engineering or operationally complex environment experience.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Syspro, SAP, Epicor.
• Proven track record delivering cost-saving initiatives and strategic sourcing.
• Strong commercial awareness and supplier risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Experience delivering cost-saving initiatives, strategic sourcing projects or supplier development programmes.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing supply chains, production schedules, bills of materials and inventory management.
• Strong commercial awareness, analytical skills and confidence evaluating supplier quotations, costs and risks.
• CIPS qualification or working towards one.
