Summary:

Our team is growing! We are looking to add a Senior Buyer to our purchasing team. The Senior Buyer will be responsible for procurement and fulfillment for product lines and installation projects. The role involves establishing clear communication with suppliers and driving actions for timely fulfillment of Purchase Orders (POs) aligned with customer requirements and need-by dates.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
• 401(k) with 6% company match, no vesting period

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, engineering, or manufacturing
• Experience with SAP
• Experience with fabricator/machine prints, weldments, and custom machine designs

• High-energy, self-motivated, willing to take responsibilities across functions
• Willing to visit suppliers, develop recovery plans, set production priorities, and analyze product work cycles
• Strong business and financial acumen; understanding of manufacturing industry
• Program and project management skills with cross-functional teams
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and negotiation skills
• Excellent quantitative, analytical, PC, and database management skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and changing priorities

Job Responsibilities:

• Read manufacturing drawings (blueprints)
• Convert Purchase Requisitions to POs, update PO promise dates, and manage schedule changes within ERP systems
• Achieve cost-effective material procurement with high quality and timely delivery
• Own fulfillment KPIs: on-time PO placement and delivery, supplier promise date accuracy, invoice resolution
• Partner with Supplier Quality and negotiate vendor recovery related to delivery and quality issues
• Conduct regular performance reviews with strategic suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and lead times
• Collaborate with engineering on design changes and supplier processes
• Develop knowledge of supplier manufacturing, material, and pricing strategies
• Establish strategic relationships with suppliers
