Role Description

The Senior Buyer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bedford, OH, responsible for managing the procurement of materials, components, and services that support manufacturing operations. Day-to-day activities include sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, issuing purchase orders, and monitoring delivery schedules to ensure on-time availability of inventory. The Senior Buyer will evaluate vendor performance, maintain strong supplier relationships, and collaborate with engineering, production, and finance teams to align purchasing decisions with project requirements and cost targets. The role also involves analyzing market trends, optimizing inventory levels, resolving supply issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of purchasing processes and policies.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional vendor and internal relationships.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial equipment, preferably in electrical power or related industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field; equivalent work experience considered.
• Demonstrated ability to work on-site full time, manage multiple priorities, and contribute to a collaborative, safety-focused work environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPIM, CSCP) are beneficial.
