Ōura is seeking a Senior Business Systems Engineer to elevate NetSuite development and integrations across Finance, Supply Chain, and Member Experience. This remote US role focuses on scalable solutions, strategic design, and robust test coverage.

You will collaborate with analysts to deliver durable capabilities, drive architecture standards, and govern configuration to prevent technical debt, while embracing AI-assisted coding and modern integration practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years NetSuite development and/or administration experience.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and task management.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite script types (User Event, Client, Map/Reduce, Suitelet, RESTlet).
• Experience writing automated tests in any language/framework.
• Experience using AI coding assistants in day-to-day development with good judgment.
• Understanding of Order to Cash and Procure to Pay processes and basic accounting.
• Extensive integration experience (iPaaS, API, or direct point-to-point).
• Comfort with NetSuite configuration/admin layer and admin workflows.

We are looking for a Senior Business Systems Engineer to join our growing Business Systems team, with a specific mandate to raise the bar on quality and scalability of the custom solutions within our NetSuite environment. This is a hands on development position for someone who understands enterprise systems and cares as much about why a solution works as whether it ships. the company’s NetSuite environment is advanced and evolves fast — we deploy frequently across a wide integration surface (Workato, Subscription Billing, 3PL partners, Payment Processors, Enterprise Service APIs, etc.) — and we need someone who instinctively looks for the systemic fix, not just the fastest one. You will partner closely with our internal Business Analysts within Finance and Supply Chain to deliver solutions that enable new core business capabilities.

What You Will Do:

• Define, document, and execute NetSuite development tasks in an agile team process managed in Atlassian Jira.
• Deliver first‑class SuiteScript code and designs that adhere to software development industry best practices, with a bias toward root‑cause fixes over narrow, symptom‑level patches.
• Design and implement unit, integration, and regression test coverage for critical customizations and integrations as a standard part of delivery, and help establish a team‑wide Definition of Done that includes test coverage.
• Use AI‑assisted and agentic development tools to accelerate SuiteScript, integration, and test development, applying design‑first practices (specs, architecture docs, and constraints) so AI‑generated code is consistent, reviewable, and maintainable.
• Help define team standards for when and how AI‑assisted changes ship, including the change‑management evidence required for SOX/ITGC controls.
• Contribute reusable context (architecture decision records, coding standards, and integration documentation) that makes both engineers and AI tools more effective across the NetSuite codebase.
• Partner with our NetSuite Administrator to audit and govern platform configuration — roles, permissions, workflows, and bundle usage — ensuring changes are documented, reversible, and don't accumulate as untracked technical debt.
• Assist in the development, architecture, and support of scalable integrations between NetSuite and other business systems.
• Collaborate with NetSuite business users across Supply Chain & Logistics, Financial Systems, and Member Experience to translate requirements into durable solutions.

This is a remote role based in the US.

What you'll bring

• 4+ years NetSuite development and/or administration experience.
• Experience working in an Agile methodology and task management system.
• Hands‑on experience across NetSuite script types (User Event, Client, Map/Reduce, Suitelet, RESTlet, etc.).
• Experience writing automated tests in any language or framework.
• Hands‑on experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) in day-to-day development, with sound judgment about when to trust, verify, or reject AI output.
• Understanding of core business processes and best practices (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, etc.) and basic accounting principles.
• Extensive integration experience (iPaaS, API, or direct point‑to‑point) with a solid understanding of system authentication methods.
• Comfort working within NetSuite's configuration/admin layer (roles, permissions, saved searches) well enough to partner effectively with a dedicated Administrator.
• Attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and excellent communication and collaboration skills — including the judgment to push back on scope or timeline when a proposed fix won't hold up.
