Job Summary
As Senior Business Analyst in the Corporate application division, you would be working on some of our latest ventures to support and enhance cutting-edge SaaS business applications. You will be helping us with coordination, documentation, test execution, conducting POC, post-production maintenance, and support of the Oracle Cloud SaaS enterprise application production support and continuous improvement of the application landscape.
This position acts as a critical liaison between the company’s financial functions including Corporate Controllership, Regional Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Business Assurance, and the company’s IT organization.
Responsibilities
- Business Support: Provides first-line support to users of financial applications.
- Responding to business user queries.
- Providing one-on-one support, explanations, and guidance to users regarding finance operations.
- Triaging data issues, process issues, and business user errors.
- Liaise with IT and business users to define and prioritize business-related issues associated with systems.
- Partner with other system owners to ensure data quality, timing, and financial reporting impacts are fully understood.
- Take the lead role in: Assisting with the business case; Planning and monitoring; Eliciting requirements; Requirements organization; Translating and simplifying requirements; Requirements management and communication; Requirement analysis.
- Business Requirements Analysis: Partners with business stakeholders to analyze, define and document business requirements, within and across functional areas.
- Drives best practices during requirements gathering and modeling.
- Has a strong focus on gathering core requirements, beyond stated requirements and correctly placing these within a broader context.
- Understands business environment and helps to connect/align relevant business stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management: Manages stakeholder expectations and communications within and beyond the functional track.
- Knows business environment well enough to identify and proactively include the correct stakeholder.
- Interacts regularly with senior management-level stakeholders and demonstrates value from realized projects.
- Solution Design: Responsible for designing and documenting cross-functional and global solutions, drawing on the functional expertise of functional and technical team members or vendors, as appropriate.
- Advises on solutions prepared by peers or supporting team, and champions good design practice.
- Partners with business stakeholders to analyze, define, and document business processes within and across functional areas.
- Drives best practices during requirements gathering and modeling.
- Understands business environment and helps to connect/align relevant business stakeholders.
- Documentation: Documents and reviews broader team documentation; supports the team in identifying and defining relevant documentation templates pertaining to solution delivery; is a champion for knowledge transfer to enable/empower other team members.
- Functional Design: Develop functional designs for applications, integrations, and conversions.
- Ability to work on multiple functional areas and integrations with third-party products.
- Keeps up to date with industry trends and vendor capabilities to produce robust functional designs.
- Reviews functional designs and obtains signoffs with the cross-functional business and IT teams.
- Provides inputs into business processes based on design capabilities; champions sustainable, forward-looking functional designs; learns and adapts to new technologies quickly.
- Testing & Test Design: Execute system integration testing; coordinate user acceptance testing for new systems or enhancement releases, including assisting with test case creation and tracking to ensure testing is completed per schedule; coordinate defect clarification, triage, and resolution with engineering teams; perform mock close on financial systems.
- System Configurations: Configures applications in line with business goals; designs forward-looking configurations aligned with the business roadmap; develops configuration standards; provides Day-to-Day Production Support; supports and trains junior resources and oversees quality in triage and troubleshooting practices; leads troubleshooting on critical issues with cross-functional teams; identifies improvements to address repeat issues.
- Training and Change Management: Works with functional leadership teams to set expectations and plan and execute SME training activities; defines, communicates, and implements support and engagement plans; analyzes adoption rates and issues to assess business case realization and proposes solutions to improve; provides ad hoc training to various financial users on key financial applications.
Qualifications
- Worked as Senior Systems Analyst, Senior Consultant, or Support Analyst for Oracle Fusion EPM and ERP application modules.
- Hands-on experience in configuring, scripting, and testing for EPM and ERP Cloud application implementation and maintenance.
- Knowledge in Planning, Budgeting, and forecasting modules.
- Worked in most of the Oracle Fusion ERP Financial applications, primarily in GL, AP and AR Reconciliation.
- Worked in most of the Oracle Fusion EPM applications, primarily on ARCS.
- Worked with onshore delivery leads and support team.
- Have in-depth finance functional knowledge to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Flexible to work on a rotating shift model to support EMEA and AMER timezone customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, IT, or a related field.
- 9+ years of experience working within the finance or IT organization of a large multinational company.
- Willingness to travel occasionally if needed.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Preference for computer science, mathematics, Accounting, and related fields of study.
