Seeking Senior Business Analyst – Calypso to join the Derivatives team. The team operates in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality application support and practical technology solutions to derivatives investment, trading, and operations teams across the firm. This is a hybrid business and technology role focused on supporting, configuring, troubleshooting, and enhancing a suite of applications used for derivatives trading, analysis, processing, and settlement. The application environment includes Calypso as well as custom-built and third-party vendor platforms supporting the creation, execution, valuation, processing, and settlement of (OTC) over-the-counter and other derivative instruments.

Position is well suited to someone that motivated to builddeep expertise in derivatives applications and business processes.

• Provide timely, accurate, and client-focused support to investment professionals, traders, and operations teams using the firm’s derivatives applications.
• Configure, maintain, and enhance Calypso and related custom-built or third-party applications supporting the derivatives lifecycle.
• Investigate complex application, data, workflow, and integration issues; determine root causes and coordinate solutions across business and technology teams.
• Develop a deep understanding of Derivatives business processes, application capabilities, system integrations, data flows, and downstream consumers.
• Design, prototype, and implement tactical solutions using tools such as SQL and Excel, with appropriate testing, controls, and documentation.
• Participate throughout the solution lifecycle, including analysis, design, configuration, implementation, testing, deployment, training, and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with investment professionals, traders, operations teams, product owners, project managers, developers, systems analysts, and quality assurance analysts to deliver effective solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

• MUST HAVE near expert knowledge of supporting Calypso - with strong knowledge of trading and investment-management OMS (Order Management Systems), investment accounting platforms, and Derivative instruments and workflows. This includes trade creation, execution, valuation, processing, or settlement, is strongly preferred.
• Degree and 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst gathering requirements with complex technology environment within financial investment management firm like Fidelity, KKR, State Street, etc. Demonstrated ability to analyze application behavior, business workflows, data, and system integrations to diagnose problems and recommend practical solutions.
• Experience working with investment traders, operations teams, or other business users to troubleshoot issues and deliver solutions.
• Hands‑on SQL experience, including the ability to query relational databases, investigate data issues, and support reconciliation activities.
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliation, prototyping, and the development of tactical business solutions.
• Must work onsite 4 days a week in Boston, MA or Needham, MA (Fridays from home).
• Progress toward or completion of a CFA, CAIA, FRM, or similar professional designation is a plus.
