Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Senior Business Planning Analyst to drive budgeting, forecasting and analysis. You will transform data into actionable insights, mentor junior team members, and partner with multiple departments to influence strategic decisions that improve financial performance.

In this role, you will conduct advanced trend analyses, maintain financial models, and lead the end-to-end operating expense variance process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of business planning or financial analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced trend and variance analyses of operational budgets, generating reports and dashboards to track spending and drive KPIs
• Serve as the forecasting subject matter expert, interpreting results and assumptions while building and maintaining financial models
• Identify and quantify opportunities for cost optimization, managing the end-to-end operating expense variance process to ensure accuracy and timely reporting
• Research market trends and assess risks, translating findings into actionable recommendations for leadership
• Partner with Finance, Operations and Procurement teams to align drivers and assumptions, presenting insights that influence strategic direction
• Mentor junior analysts, review deliverables for quality and standardize methods, templates and controls for analysis and forecasting
