Job summary

Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Business Underwriter to evaluate and underwrite complex business loan applications in Vienna, VA. You will assess financial status, credit, and cash flow to determine feasibility and present loan packages to senior management for high-authority decisions.

Responsibilities include analyzing financial statements, validating data, and proposing structuring solutions with appropriate covenants, while ensuring adherence to NFCU policies and SBA

Qualifications

Excellent understanding of business underwriting principles and concepts.
Familiarity with cash flow, liquidity, leverage, and trend analysis.
Advanced knowledge of SBA industry systems and underwriting tools.

Responsibilities

Analyzes business loan applicants' financial status, credit, and business feasibility.
Reviews loan applications to ensure documents are received and data is accurate.
Determines credit-worthiness using financial statements, credit reports, and ratios.
Proposes deal structures with appropriate covenants based on risk.
Prepares loan recommendations for senior management on high-authority loans.
Underwrites SBA and participation loans and supports compliance with regulations.
