Job summary
Buchalter PC in Orange County seeks a mid to senior level associate to support our Litigation Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of business litigation experience from a law firm and be licensed to practice in California.
You will review patterns, draft motions, assist trial teams, and handle depositions and pre-trial matters in federal and state court. We offer a competitive salary, bonuses, unlimited PTO, 401k, and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
- Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing.
- Familiarity with federal and state court procedural rules.
- Ability to draft basic and complex litigation documents.
- Case management experience with ability to meet deadlines.
- Clear and effective drafting and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn new substantive topics as needed.
Responsibilities
- Review a fact pattern and analyze legal issues.
- Second chair or lead complex cases and assist lead trial attorneys.
- Prepare complex pre-trial motions and witness preparation.
- Assist in evaluating pre-trial preparation and witness prep.
- Handle motions for summary judgment and depositions.
- Support clients and supervising attorneys with legal services.
