The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for supporting the analytic needs of the Alliance, transforming data into insights to drive business value. This role requires an in-depth understanding of healthcare operations and data (e.g., member, claims, clinical, and provider data), along with extensive experience in programming against complex data environments, quantitative data analysis, and analytical tools. The analyst reports to Healthcare Analytics Leadership, supports business decisions and operational processes, and collaborates with cross-functional teams.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Develop complex end-to-end data-based solutions to support various functions.
  • Lead special projects, providing data expertise and actionable insights, including operational, data warehouse, and third-party projects.
  • Identify analytical focus areas related to performance, opportunities, and risks.
  • Communicate operational impacts of analytical findings effectively.
  • Work with multiple data sources and tools, structuring data for end-user presentation.
  • Create datasets, extract, and synthesize data.
  • Develop new KPIs, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Conduct detailed analysis to identify variances in costs, utilization, and trends.
  • Produce high-quality, audience-appropriate reports timely with attention to detail.
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams, guiding report requirements and validating results.
  • Understand business and IT processes, communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Research and suggest improvements for data quality and reporting processes.
  • Document report logic and processes to enhance team knowledge base.
  • Perform other related projects and activities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, health, finance, or technical fields.
  • Minimum 3 years healthcare setting experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in business intelligence, data systems, reporting, and analysis.

  • Deep knowledge of healthcare data and principles.
  • Strong technical skills, including SQL, Excel, and visualization tools.
  • Experience with relational databases and large datasets.

Salary Range

$126,796.80 - $190,174.40 annually.
