Job summary

Central Insurance is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to turn data into decisions that drive growth and improve operations. You’ll transform raw information into actionable insights, empower leaders, and shape strategy with data-driven recommendations.

You’ll partner with Product, Underwriting, Analytics, Actuarial, Finance, IT and other units, delivering SME-level analyses and scalable BI solutions while promoting data quality and literacy across the organization.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in related field with 2 years of data-insights communication to business
• Bachelor’s degree in related field with 4 years of data-insights communication to business
• 6 years insurance experience communicating data insights between technical and business personnel
• Experience with Property & Casualty Insurance products and/or data - preferred
• Experience with external data sources - preferred
• Power BI visualization expertise – preferred

What we are looking for

What you’ll do

• Demonstrate SME-level data knowledge with proven expertise in multiple domains and data environments
• Research, design, analyze, develop and maintain exceptional business intelligence solutions
• Present and communicate insights in a manner that drives stakeholder understanding, adoption, and business action
• Increase data literacy across the organization by providing training and support for the business intelligence tools developed
• Drive adoption of business intelligence solutions by communicating insights effectively and partnering with stakeholders to integrate data into decision‑making processes
• Collaborate with leadership -- listen, respond and work to accomplish department goals consistent with Central’s mission and values
• Collaborate with Product, Underwriting, Analytics, Actuarial, Finance, IT and other business units to share knowledge and avoid duplicative work
• Collaborate with data science, data governance, actuarial, finance, claims and other business units to ensure data is accurate and well‑documented
• Serve as trusted advisor to business stakeholders, shaping requests into scalable solutions
• Lead the design, validation, and enhancement of data models that support scalable business intelligence reporting and analytics
• Perform exploratory and diagnostic analyses to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable business insights
• Own and lead peer code review processes to ensure the team’s adherence to a high standard of excellence related to the accuracy of data and reporting produced
• Assist in development of business intelligence project roadmaps and data strategies
• Steward and promote enterprise data quality and consistency
• Influence cross functional data standards, governance, and best practices
• Identify and drive new use cases, efficiencies, and strategic insights
• Independently prioritize work aligned to business impact
• Lead onboarding and development of new team members, including training plans and tool enablement

Hiring Range

$102,000–$140,000 represents typical starting salaries and is a portion of the full pay range for the role.

Starting pay is determined based on several factors, including relevant experience, education, skills, and certifications. The full pay range is broader and is designed to provide employees with meaningful opportunities for salary growth as they develop their skills, increase proficiency, and advance in the role.
