Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) seeks a dynamic professional to source, identify and develop opportunities to enhance profitability of Plains’ pipeline and terminals midstream business in a regional sector.
You will work on capital projects, asset optimization, and potential M&A, while preparing strategic materials and business plans for leadership review.
Job Type: Regular Plains is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil. We own an extensive network of pipeline transportation, terminalling, storage and gathering assets in key oil producing basins and transportation corridors and at major market hubs in the United States and Canada. The primary responsibility of this position is to source, identify and develop opportunities to create and/or enhance the profitability of Plains’ existing pipeline and terminals midstream business around a region of Pipeline Systems. This includes capital projects, asset optimization, M&A, and additional business development activity. The selected candidate will be eligible for company benefits including
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Engineering is required, and master’s degree in Finance or Business is preferred.
Experience in business analysis with minimum 5 years work experience in oil and gas industry or energy investment banking.
Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills.
Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint are required.
Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks. Compliance with the Company’s Drug & Alcohol Policy including pre‑employment testing.
