Senior Business Development Manager, Education

Are you driven by developing new business and partnering with clients to deploy innovate fintech technology? Are you passionate about identifying new clients and have a hunter mentality? Want to work for a global payments company where you can offer clients ground-breaking digital solutions in any almost any global currency? Convera is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to acquire new business across the education vertical in the United States.

This position will work remotely anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Business development and pipeline management for the education vertical
  • Lead client meetings to present the Convera value proposition and close new business
  • Collaborate internally with sales and product leadership to deploy innovative global payment solutions
  • Partner with clients to implement marketing best practices and generate transaction volume
  • Meet defined business targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintain understanding of the global education market and broader business/economic landscape to enhance your ability to meet and anticipate client requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Sales experience with background in higher education and/or payments industry and/or cross-border payments or a combination is required
  • Self-starter with a hunter mindset and comfortable working in a remote environment
  • Strong experience within the fintech industry
  • Proficient in CRM software including experience managing pipeline through Salesforce
  • Highly self-motivated and confident, with highintegrityand tenacity to outperform the competition
  • Contribute a positive team environment and fully embrace diversity.
  • Fluent in English, and excellent communication/presentation skills across all media
  • Ability to use all relevant technology (e.g., MS Office, web conferencing, search engines, reporting tools and sales automation platforms such as Salesforce)
  • Financially astute with knowledge of business needs/concerns, as well as the commercial impact of global news and events

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience selling SaaS products preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience in relevant filed
