Job summary

United Services Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth across Texas and the Central U.S., with an initial focus on the Dallas/Fort Worth market. This is an opportunity for an experienced industrial business development professional to help build United’s presence in one of our most important growth markets.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business development, sales, account management, or commercial leadership experience.
  • Experience in industrial construction, mechanical contracting, specialty contracting, fabrication, welding, power generation, manufacturing, or related technical services.
  • Strong existing relationships within the Dallas/Fort Worth and broader Texas industrial market strongly preferred.
  • Must reside in the Dallas area.
  • Proven ability to develop new customer relationships and generate revenue growth.
  • Experience selling into project-based environments involving EPCs, GCs, mechanical contractors, or industrial owners.
  • Strong commercial instincts and a practical understanding of how industrial projects are estimated and executed.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a growth strategy for Texas and the Central U.S.
  • Build relationships with EPC firms, general contractors, mechanical contractors, facility operators, engineering firms, OEMs, and other key industry partners.
  • Generate new opportunities across Data Centers, Advanced Manufacturing, Power Generation, and Industrial Process & Manufacturing.
  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Identify strategic projects and customer opportunities before they reach formal procurement.
  • Lead customer meetings, site visits, presentations, and proposal discussions.
  • Partner with Estimating and Operations to develop competitive solutions and pursuit strategies.
  • Manage opportunities from initial lead through proposal, negotiation, and award.
  • Grow existing accounts by expanding relationships, services, and share of customer spend.
  • Maintain strong executive-level customer relationships and support long-term account development.
  • Represent United at industry events, conferences, customer functions, and networking opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, opportunity, activity, and forecast information in HubSpot.

The Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new customer relationships, expanding existing accounts, building a strong opportunity pipeline, and helping establish United as a trusted provider of specialty welding, fabrication, machining, mechanical, and field services.

This individual will work closely with Operations, Estimating, and executive leadership throughout the pursuit process, from initial relationship development through proposal, award, and project transition.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For
