Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Business Controller to serve as the central finance partner for new product launches, ensuring financial integrity, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance. You will drive cross-functional alignment and own the end-to-end launch review process in a fast-paced crypto fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Big 4 public accounting background is required.
• CPA designation or equivalent required.
• Deep crypto product knowledge preferred.
• Fintech industry experience preferred.
• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional workstreams and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own periodic prioritization meetings with Business Partners across Consumer, Institutional, Base, and Development to plan Finance support for product launches.
• Oversee end-to-end product launch review process and maintain Finance Requirements docs.
• Partner with finance, business leads, and cross-functional teams to evaluate new product strategies and define finance requirements.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business partners and help scale operations with minimal friction.
• Collaborate with EAA and Finance Engineering to implement reporting capabilities and automate processes.
• Perform accounting treatment reviews for new products and ensure compliance with standards and policies.
• Design and implement controls addressing financial risks and operating effectiveness.
• Produce documentation including fund flow analyses and risk summaries.
