Job Title: Senior Business Analyst – Corrections Information Technology Systems (CITS) Project

Location: 100% Remote (Must reside in Texas)

Travel: Occasional trips to Huntsville, TX (at your own expense)

Clearance: Must be able to pass a 30-year background check

Experience: State agency or government IT experience is required

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Business Analyst to support a large-scale Corrections Information Technology Systems (CITS) modernization initiative. This long-term project involves transitioning legacy mainframe operations to a modern, off-the-shelf solution hosted in the cloud. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Program Manager to provide a high-level business perspective, identify process improvements, and facilitate strategic discussions across stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Program Manager to provide strategic business analysis and insights throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical capabilities.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including vendors, consultants, and executive leadership.
• Represent the organization in meetings with external partners and provide clear updates to internal teams.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement best practices.
• Analyze complex systems and develop plans to address identified issues and risks.
• Support project tracking, documentation, and reporting of key metrics and milestones.
  
  
  

Required Skills And Experience

• Proven experience in business analysis, particularly in large-scale, complex government projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
• Strategic planning and business strategy development experience.
• Familiarity with business consulting methodologies and best practices.
• Experience in project management support, including testing, scheduling, and risk management.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.
