Position Description
JTEC Consulting is hiring a senior level Business Architect with defense financial management experience who will hold a pivotal role in analyzing and designing the processes and systems that drive organizational success for a complex environment. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact by shaping the future of business operations and technology integration. Qualified candidates will have experience working with Financial Management Organization (FMO) legacy systems and interfaces such as D035J/FIABS or SMAS. Demonstrated experience supporting organization and design for processes and systems in a DoD environment is required, experience working with Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) customer requirements and business solutions is highly preferred.
Duties and responsibilities
- Primary responsibility will be to assess the current state of the business, identify customer requirements, and define a future state that aligns with customer\'s strategic goals.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of business models with technology and leverage expertise to bridge the gap between legacy interfaces and forward-looking systems.
- Synthesize complex information, research industry best practices, and develop innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Provide the program strategic maintenance, supply, AFWCF and Oracle EBS domain guidance and inputs.
- Perform and support analysis and refinement activities.
- Support ongoing refinement of the product backlog as well as all ongoing sprint activities.
- Support any required backlog, solution, and feature mapping activities and shall support these activities for the duration of the PoP.
- Provide support to the Product Management team, Development teams, and the Product Owner that may include business process and/or Oracle solution options for functional problems (e.g. features and user stories) to be solved such as:
- Support the Product Owner in preparation of user stories (including any necessary design documentation)
- Support the Agile Development Test (ADT) when necessary
- Assist with preparation for presentation of results of each Sprint/iteration to the product owner and other representatives
- Act as the solution point of contact for the Agile Development Teams by providing guidance regarding the technologies, customer processes, and legacy and affiliated programs
- Develop repository of references, metrics, and processes which drive quantitative methodologies for guiding business behavior and decisions
- Perform code/ unit test/ test script/ documentation reviews for the Agile Development Teams
Requirements include
- US citizenship; no dual citizenship
- Current DoD security clearance at Secret level or Public Trust at IT2 level eligible for Secret
- Bachelor\'s degree
- 10+ years of related experience assessing business models in a DoD setting and supporting their integration with technology to drive meaningful business changes
- Demonstrated success assessing current state, identifying customer requirements, and defining the future state and/or business solution
- Experience working with legacy interfaces for FMO systems and tools such as D035J/FIABS, SMAS, and other FMO systems
- Strong understanding of legacy interfaces and their modernization will be critical as you navigate the complexities of transitioning to future-state solutions
- Ability to lead discussions, communicate effectively, and collaborate across teams will be essential in driving alignment and ensuring successful implementation.
- Experience leveraging analytical frameworks to evaluate business models and processes, making data-driven recommendations that support organizational objectives.
